Cucumber Raita Recipe

Cucumber Raita Recipe:

Raita is a side dish that we eat with the main course or a dip with kebabs etc. This raita goes very well with any Indian dish. Make this fresh with plain yogurt and cucumbers.

Total time: 7 minutes

Serves: 2 people


Fresh plain yogurt: 1 1/2 cups

Cucumber: 1 big or 2 small. Peel them and cut small pieces. You can grate them too, totally up to you.

Black Salt (Preferably): 1 tsp ( Can’t find black salt use the regular one)

Paprika Powder/ red chili powder: 1/2 tsp

Sugar: 2 tsp

Cumin Powder: 1 tsp



In a bowl, add the yogurt, salt, sugar and whisk them so that they get mixed properly.

Add the cucumber pieces. Mix well.

Now garnish with some paprika and cumin powder.

Chill in the refrigerator for half an hour and serve. ( You can eat at normal room temperature too but I feel this cucumber raita tastes great when it is slightly cold).
